Description
Crazy Quilt is a collection of short stories and poetry. The first section is a journey through the life of a young boy named Ben. The stories and poems here are called Ben’s Passage. The next section is called Remnants Old and New. These are old and recent poems, many dedicated to friends and loved ones. Section three is called Intersections. Here is a collection of stories about troubled adult relationships. The premise of Intersections is that when two people cross paths, a third and unique essence is produced. Finally, in Brief Encounters, there are four dialogues. These are written as conversations. One is with a troubled man going through an existential crisis. It’s called I Just Came in for Coffee. The next, A Doomsday Conversation, is the story of an English woman and her experiences as a teacher in World War Two London. Shakespeare Knocked on my Door is a fantasy conversation with William Shakespeare, who just happens to stop by for a visit. Finally, A Chat with G. presents a philosophical conversation with God.
Crazy Quilt is a metaphor for the author’s life, pieces of experience stitched together to form a whole.
